Anna is always, always brilliant, but something about this one really stands out for me.
It made me feel like Grace made me feel. There is a similar theme, of self-redemption, of acceptance, idek- it's very moving. READ IT!
(and for those (like 3?) of you non-bandom folks on my f-list - you DON"T need to know any canon to read Anna's writing, so the rec is totally for you too!)

Struggling with depression and alcoholism, he begins to visit the place he tried so hard to get away from, seeing the life he could have had, visiting the one person he never could have.
